Built under the communist German Democratic Republic, the Haus des Lehrers was a flagship

project and the highest building at Alexanderplatz. The mural, titled Unser Leben, "our life"

shows the idealized life under the communist party. This modernist building stands as a

tribute to teachers and professionals who contribute to the betterment of the community.
